In my humble opinion I think that's probably the lowest thing you can do to your significant other.
If you're real, stay true or at least have the balls to break off the relationship or tell them you want to see other people.
You can make all the excuses you want but in the end it doesn't change the fact that you did what you did.
As simple as that.

...But seriously if you want to be taken seriously in a relationship or even as a human being then respect the relationship and those in it.
