WINTER BREAK ON!

So I just finished my last final of Fall semester..officially on break until January 11th, 2010.
What to do???
Well...work for sure but other than that I really want to get some practice hours in and use this time to get better.
Needa stay motivated and focused on what I need to get better.
Sucks I don't have the screenprinting class anymore, I still have so many shirts I want to make =[
Maybe if I have time I'll take the textiles class next semester but I guess for now...Frank and Sons it is lol.
My sister found two kitties outside. So been pretty much playing with cats all the time until we give them away haha.
It's pretty annoying though because I can't use the bathroom or else I'll wake them up and they won't stop meowing. I NEEDA SHOWER!!!
Dang I still needa go Christmas shopping...got my dad's gift already I just hope it ships in time and I need to get the rest of my family something soon.
I miss my girlfriend.
I need to clean my room!!! Some crap in there isn't even mine...hate it when people make your room their storage -_-

I just got back from watching the long awaited film, "Avatar" and boy oh boy..words can't really describe how....good it was haha.

James Cameron has been my favorite director since I first watched T2 when I was like 2 or 3 years old. This was followed by Aliens, Terminator 1, Titanic, The Abyss and so forth which made him one of my all time favorite film makers.
When I heard he had a new project coming up involving aliens my first thought was...Aliens 5??? Hahaha but when I learned more info and saw the first cut of the trailer my excitement toned down but still this movie looked interesting.
Everyone was talking about how it was a breakthrough through digital and 3D film making but when I first saw the trailer...I thought...eh. I didn't liked the way the aliens looked but still the hype surrounded the film and I wanted to be proven wrong.
Judging by the trailer I already guessed the plot within the movie.
The story involves a pretty redundant and cliche formula that has a foreigner who embraces another's culture and learns to love it more than their own.
South Park poked at this and it was pretty much spot on.
We've seen this cycle with movies such as Dances with the Wolves, The Last Samurai, and Pocahantas but I suppose doing it with tribal aliens is a new concept that hasn't been done.
I came in the theater with no expectations so that way the hype wouldn't kill the mood for me and from start to finish the film grabbed me and reeled me in.
Avatar is probably one of the best films to come out in 2009. It definitely delivered and I do recommend this film to all.
You really have to watch the entire movie to appreciate the effects of the surroundings as well as the aliens.
Cameron puts a lot of emphasis on how everything is a life force.
You grow to like the aliens..at first I was still ehhhh but the leading lady became more and more attractive as the film went by. SMURF SEX!
Other than that I loved everything about the film: the music, the acting, the characters, the battle scenes, the effects, even the recyclable story.
If there's a movie to watch in theater before the year is over it is definitely Avatar.
Watching it in 3D was a bit of a downer though...some characters and objects randomly popping out was a bit distracting.
I think I'll probably watch it again in IMAX when I get the chance.
GO GO GO

OH! And how come this wasn't shown before Avatar?!?
